Moira Rose says "You may currently think, "Oh, I'm too spooky." Or, "Nobody wants to see these tiny boobies." But, believe me, one day you will look at those photos with much kinder eyes and say, "Dear God, I was a beautiful thing!".
When Miss K started her email with a quote by Moira Rose I knew she was my kind of people. I reached out to her and knew that she was going to rock her shoot.
Why did you initially want to book a boudoir shoot?
I've come a long way in accepting my body and while we have our off days, I'd love to capture it as it is now, in all its glory, so that I can look back at it one day and say "Damn, I was hot!". I've also never done a boudoir shoot and I think it would be an incredible experience!
How did you feel before your session?
I was still a little nervous, but I hydrated and stretched, and had all my outfits sorted before which helped.
How did the session day make you feel?
I felt amazing! Getting my hair and makeup done was a huge confidence booster and Veronica was so empowering and coached me so well. It didn’t feel awkward or uncomfortable at all.
Was the session different from you expected it to be?
Definitely! It was much more organic if that makes sense? I thought it wouldn’t feel authentic but it was just Veronica and I in a bedroom.
Did anything surprise you?
I was surprised by how sore I was, I mean I know the prep guide tells you but it really was a workout.
What would your advice be to other women who haven't booked a boudoir session?
I highly recommend doing a boudoir shoot, if you’ve ever remotely thought about it book it now! It’s an experienced you’ll only ever be thankful for.
Did anything change about the way you see your own beauty / sexuality / sensuality / body confidence as a result of this session?
I definitely feel a sexier, knowing that I’m capable of looking so freaking hot is a total confidence booster.
Why would you suggest someone else book a session with Golden Mean Boudoir?
Do it for posterity’s sake, someday you’ll have those photos to look back on and see how stunning you were/are.
What would you say to people who say they can't do a boudoir session because they are too shy, nervous, etc?
You’ll never feel like you don’t know what you’re doing in front of the camera, they’re going to coach you and make sure you look your best. Once you’re all done up and you have the photographer cheering you on, you won’t be as nervous, trust me.
