I don’t know about you, but when I get nervous I freeze and make up all kinds of excuses as to why I can’t do something. Let me get real vulnerable with you here: I was nervous EVERY SINGLE TIME I stepped in front of the camera. Just recently I had headshots done and even that made me a little nervous!
And let’s be real, as women, we tend to take care of everyone else before ourselves. So the excuses keep piling up: I have to lose 15 pounds, I don’t have the time, I can’t spend that much on myself.
I’m here writing to you to let you know that you CAN do this no matter what the excuse is. You deserve to do this for YOU!
“I don’t have enough time for myself”
Something that I’ve learned recently as a new mom is that if I don’t take care of myself first I’m not such a great mom. So I learned to take a break every once in a while and do something for myself. Do I wish that I could spend a day at my studio every week being pampered? YES! But in reality my “me time” is my morning cup of coffee in silence, a few episodes of “Shitt’s Creek” after bed time, and the occasional “got it as a gift for mother’s day so I better go use up my gift card” trip to the spa!

Fuck beauty standards. At Golden Mean Boudoir our mission is to show you how gorgeous YOU are. You might be asking yourself “what if I don’t look like the models on your site?” Number one, actually, you do! You just haven't had the chance to see yourself from my perspective (yet). Come into the studio and let me show you how beautiful you really are! There is no such thing as the perfect body. Boudoir is for every BODY. You are never too big, small, old, or too young to do a boudoir session. Number two, the women you see on my site are not professional models. They are every day women who decided to book their session and their confidence just blossomed from there.

Listen, I know just how you feel. I personally had such a hard time expressing myself in that way. After my own boudoir session I found a side of me that just needed a little room to express myself. Sometimes we lose a bit of our sexuality or sensuality when we’re trapped in the every day hustle and bustle of life. We often lose a part of ourselves when we have kids or when we are under stress. And that’s exactly where a pampering boudoir experience can help. Our studio is a judgement free zone where you are free to explore and express as much of yourself as you want.
Something else to remember is that your boudoir session is exactly that, yours. You’re free to express yourself in any way that represents who you are as a person. So if lingerie and sexy outfits aren’t your thing that’s totally OK! Boudoir can be anything you want it to be! It can be fun, flirty, sensual, and alluring. Boudoir is meant to celebrate YOU.
A boudoir shoot is an investment / I don’t have the funds right now
Yes, a boudoir shoot IS absolutely and investment. It is an investment in yourself, in building up your confidence, in reigniting a spark, in finding yourself, in reinventing yourself, and you are SO worth it. So many women have walked out of a boudoir shoot to find the confidence to ask for what they want, to leave toxic relationships, to gain clarity on who they are, and so much more. Boudoir is a life changer.
That being said, if you're looking for a "quick shoot" or "just a few images," I may not be the photographer for you. I offer a full day experience and only offer luxury products, because you are worth it. Investing in yourself is priceless. You'll never tire of your images or forget the way the session day made you feel.
I know that this experience is an investment and therefore I do offer payment plan options starting at $166 per month. You can split up the cost of any of our products via our interest free in-house payment plan and make smaller monthly or bi-weekly payments towards your purchase leading up to your shoot (usually 6-12 months). It's easy and we set it up for you on auto-pay so you never have to worry about late fees!
Once you select your session date and your booking fee is paid, we can set up your payment plan. Just ask during your booking call if this is something you’d like to set up!
